The call for applications for the fifth cycle of European Heritage Times volunteers is still open.
Due to the still unpredicatble situation in regard to the corona virus and the currently increasing travel restrictions we had to postpone the Introduction and Training Seminar for the fifth cycle of European Heritage Times towards June, 13th, (arrival) till June, 18th, (departure), 2021. As originally foreseen, the seminar will take place in the German part of the Historic Mining Landscape Ore Mountains which had been inscribed in 2019 as transboundary German-Czech site in the World Heritage list.
In conjunction with the postponed seminar we decided to extend the deadline for applications till April, 18th, 2021. Earlier applications are appreciated.
Applicants shall be aged between 22 and 35 years and shall be interested to report about heritage related issues as well as to share their personal impressions and experiences about European heritage in text, photo or video.
The applicants shall not necessarily be of European origin, but shall be based in the moment of their application in a European country. With their application they commit to participate at the European Heritage Times Introduction and Training Seminar and actively participate in European Heritage Times for at least one year.
The application shall content CV (with photo), a motivation letter describing the applicant’s relationship to heritage and at least two examples of stories, reports or other kinds of documentary, journalistic or artistic expressions the applicant has produced earlier – they have not necessarily to be thematically linked to heritage. At least one of them should be a written text; the other one(s) can be text, photo or video.
The applications shall be sent to email@example.com.
After having received the applications the selection process will start which will include a skype interview.
The selected volunteers will be invited to the above mentioned European Heritage Times Introduction and Training Seminar. Board and accommodation during the seminar will be covered by European Heritage Volunteers; the participants are kindly asked to finance their travel costs from their home to the seminar venue and back themselves. For participants which will need visa to enter Germany the necessary invitation will be provided.
