The European Heritage Volunteers Group Coordinators Seminar takes place annually at the beginning of the main summer & autumn season of the European Heritage Volunteers Programme.
The Group Coordinators Seminar is the opportunity for the future Group Coordinators who will be responsible for the logistics as well as for the intercultural aspects and the group dynamics of the European Heritage Training Courses and the European Heritage Volunteers Projects to get acquainted with the basic information regarding of the European Heritage Volunteers Programme and their responsibilities. The seminar takes place in a heritage site in Germany, lasts five days and includes a rich programme of workshops, presentations, lectures, debates and exchanges of experiences.
During the course of the seminar, the participants are presented with an instructive introduction to their role as Group Coordinators within the European Heritage Volunteers Programme. In addition, specific information is provided to them related to the particular European Heritage Training Courses and European Heritage Volunteers Projects they will be responsible for. Their tasks are thoroughly discussed and the participants are encouraged to take this opportunity for getting all of their questions clarified.
Some of the participants have had already previous experiences as Group Coordinators within the European Heritage Volunteers Programme. Therefore, they are a valuable source of information for those who will be engaged for the first time in this position. Their presence also facilitates a constructive exchange of ideas and best practices from which all the future Group Coordinators can learn.
The participants of the Group Coordinators Seminar are young, open-minded people who represent a diversity of cultural and academic backgrounds willing to enable the participants of the upcoming season of the European Heritage Volunteers Programme enriching experiences as well as to represent European Heritage Volunteers in the best possible way.
The 2024 Group Coordinators Seminar will take place from July 15th to July 19th, 2024, near Berlin.
