European Heritage Volunteers permanently aims to develop the concept of volunteering at heritage sites and to increase the quality of volunteering projects at heritage sites, among them the quality of World Heritage Volunteer projects.
The World Heritage Volunteers Projects published under “Selected Projects in Europe” are combining a high heritage linked quality with a well developed volunteering respectively educational approach.
European Heritage Volunteers understands these projects as best practise models for those which are planning volunteer projects at heritage sites and as a motivation both for those that want to start and for those that want to sustain heritage volunteer projects.
Beside the World Heritage Volunteers Projects organised by European Heritage Volunteers itself every year a limited number of World Heritage Volunteers Projects initiated by other organisations or institutions are carried out in cooperation with European Heritage Volunteers.
Volunteers that are interested to participate in these projects can apply through European Heritage Volunteers.
In 2017 World Heritage Volunteers Projects at the sites Bolgar Historical and Archaeological Complex and Caricin Grad - Iustiniana Prima are carried out in cooperation with European Heritage Volunteers:
